Funds will be administered to households within the Cities of Woodbine and Kingsland, Georgia who have an outstanding mortgage payment, rental arrears and/or utility expenses from March 2020 to current.
In order to be considered for this assistance, applicants must meet the following requirements: have a documented financial hardship attributed to COVID-19, ability to show that a one-time financial support from the relief fund will stabilize the applicants household. Each household (address based) will be limited to a maximum assistance of $1,000 for the first phase of aid review. The Warm Line is a free service provided by the Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network [GMHCN] that features 24/7 support for individuals experiencing chronic or acute behavioral health challenges - including depression, anxiety, and trauma. A Certified Peer Specialist is a person with lived experience recovering from behavioral health concerns, who has received special training to be able to listen with empathy, and who can provide assistance and resources to others. Individuals can call the warm line and speak with a Certified Peer Specialist at any time to receive support.

The Southeast Georgia Consolidated Housing Authority is located in Kingsland, Georgia. If you need to apply for the Section 8 housing choice voucher (HCV) program, you can go to this facility. Like other facilities, the Southeast Georgia Consolidated Housing Authority in Georgia is also managed by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Through our Emergency Services, the Salvation Army of St Marys provides grants for rent, utility assistance, clothing vouchers, and food for families in desperate need. Through the Pathway of Hope initiative, eligible families are offered intensive case management and needs based assistance to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty. Seasonally, we offer Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance as well as the opportunity for disadvantaged children to attend summer camp. We offer weekly Life Skills classes, free of charge to the community. Additionally, the Salvation Army serves as first responders during times of disaster.
