Healthy Youth is a prevention initiative focused on reducing youth substance use and strengthening protective factors across Camden and Charlton Counties.
This work is supported through two programs. The Partners in Prevention Project (PIPP), a state-funded initiative aligned with the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF), and the Drug-Free Communities (DFC) program, a federal grant that supports community collaboration and data-driven prevention strategies.
Partners in Prevention Project (PIPP)
The Partners in Prevention Project (PIPP) is a state-funded prevention initiative that supports community-based strategies to reduce youth substance use, with a strong focus on alcohol prevention using the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF).
The Drug-Free Communities (DFC) program is a federal grant that works to reduce youth substance use by strengthening collaboration between community partners and using data-driven prevention strategies.
Funding for this program is provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and administered through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
Positive Social Norms (PSN) data shows that the majority of youth in our area are not drinking alcohol.
